Mine is getting 2 new Callipers. One has seized and I burst the seal on the other at Oulton Park.

Holy mother of exhausts! Those are large tailpipes hehe

Looks like a nice small project though, shame about the wheels. If they are Wedsports I'm sure I've seen a set like that go for about £400 refurbed in black, might have been staggered though.

Nice buy smile

Any updates from fellow mr2 lovers? Any new owners amongst us?

I had a traumatic March with mine. She decided she wanted a new alternator. Not an easy task on your back on the street, but got there in the end!

i know they are rays engineering ms-o1 which are a copy of the mazda lemans race wheels, but i thought the mazdaspeed ones have mazdaspeed stamped on them? either way i think they are cool.

I picked one up a couple of months ago. it's a 2000, W plate rev 5 N/A.

Added some wheels and a 40mm drop, very subtle but effective, retaining a sort of OEM look

I thought they were made till 1999 with the new shape roadster and Celica introduced in the same year?

T prefix - 1 Mar 1999 to 31 Aug 1999
V prefix - 1 Sep 1999 to 28 Feb 2000
W prefix - 1 Mar 2000 to 31 Aug 2000

Production of Rev5 Mk2s by Central Motors ended in 1999. By then the number built was very low. Factor in the shipping time as well the demand dropping off a cliff, and it is perfectly possible for one of the last off the production line to have its date of first registration in the UK delayed until after 01/03/2000. W registered Mk2s are very rare. I have only ever seen one other than that in the photo above.

Mine is on a T plate and a fellow club member has one on a V.

There is a mk2 knocking about on a 51 plate. It was imported and the DVLA cocked up and registered it as a brand new car.

Yeah, think I saw an import advertised on a 54 plate once. Very strange.

Are they 16" wheels? Been wondering how a 40mm drop would look. Looks good IMO.

Comparing them with the first pic, my money says they are 17" Enkei RP01s.

Correct IIRC, we were discussing it on MR2OC as my car is very similar to MW's, also on 17" RP01s, also with a rev 5 spoiler. Mine isn't lowered though, this should give a good illustration of the difference..

Dug out some old pics

Was a great car, but i span it in the wet at low speed so I decided to sell it soon after that and get a GT4 lol
