Just one,MK3, bought in March - bottom end went last week.

Awesome car, dropped 20mm and fully poly bushed with 4 wheel alignment and decent rubber.

Right then,
After a wait of two weeks for delivery my rev2 arrived on the trailer wednesday night.
After some investigation found the problem the guy was referring to frown
Big Leaky head gasket pmsl
The head gasket was changed about 6months prior and ive found out the gasket was a cheap one so hope its just blown the gasket and not the head...
As my first project car ive definately got something to get my teeth into haha
The leak is directly beneath the thermostat on LHS of the engine so i cant get a good look at it right away..
I have a new head gasket and a place to get the head skimmed so i will be attempting this repair myself... ( oh st )
Any advice/ pointers would be appreciated smile thanks guys..
Ps i do have the toyota technician BGB now so will be reffering to that for instruction but would like to know if any of you have done this and know any tricks that might help smile
Ps.. Could you post a pic of the sparcos please danjaman smile

For some reason I don't have a photo in this thread until now.

My rev4 sonic with rev3 turbo conversion, rays reps with 255 rears, black billes (yellows to fit), EBC, uprated intercooler, alloy rad, rust proofed, etc etc.

Had it 2 years now....

Not many planes in Bexleyheath... wink

I'm fairly sure that's a Swissair Airbus 340 visible in the middle photo.
The ribbed concrete building on the left is the radar tower at Heathrow.
The pic was taken in the car park at the bottom left corner here.

Thanks - Photos all taken up on the top of Heathrow (T2 I think!)

Probably not me around belvedere either - located up in Herts/Beds borders!

Had one as a teenager, was my 2nd car after owning a classic mini so felt really quick smile Sadly it had galactic millage on it and I was a bit of a numpty and purchased the first one I saw.

It lasted 3 weeks before the cylinder head decided it wanted to crack. After a new top end all was good, until a few months later when the main coolant pipe split (thankfully in traffic so engine was saved) this was fixed but then the heater didn't work lol.

Sold the car a year later and got a Supra, this car was my stepping stone on the road to Jap sports cars smile

Oh no, this thread is on the front page of Jap Chat! Now how will I let my tubby go? frown

Not that it's sold yet...

Can anybody comment on where they went after a tubby? I've got so many ideas running around in my head. If I could i'd keep it but I really don't want to keep 2 cars, it will just suck up too much money...

I've been offered a Levin AE101 as a swap. After a test drive I have no doubt it's special for a NA FWD car. Easily competitive with CTR and ITR's of the era. But i'm not sure if I can handle going back to FWD. No more rear wheel fun? Hmmm

So apart from the 101, there's a strong want for a Nissan S14 of some kind. But these require a couple of months of hard saving or a few months of lazy saving.

What did you all buy after an MR2 turbo when you needed four seats? Any thoughts appreciated. I was considering other Non Jap cars such as MG ZS 180, Clio 172/182, BMW 328's, but i'd rather stay Jap if possible.
