Mazda RX8 Real world MPG

P.s its a 231 model 87k on the clock but engine is absolutely spot on. New coils, plugs, ht leads, suspension, brakes, exhaust...

Bit of a thread resurrection, but it is possible to get 'good' fuel economy out of an RX8...

The other day I got 32mpg out of mine on a motorway trip up to Liverpool and back. a touch over 400 miles to a tank...

That would be a 192, obviously.

I saw 30mpg out of a 231, once. And got 300 miles out of a tank several times.

37 mpg is the most I've seen anyone get from a 231. Realistically 30 mpg from normal driving is what you will get.

Never seen over 220m out of my 231 PZ. More like 180 most tanks, then again i don't care as its a weekend toy.

I average just over 18mpg in my 231. 19 on a good day

18-24 on my 231 was usual.

I did manage to virtually drain a full tank in 120miles once.

Never got over 17mpg over a whole tank in mine, didn't reaLly change from this however I drove it.

I'll raise you by saying i used a brimmed tank and 2x 5L jerry cans for 127miles. Trackday at Brands hatch

Mine was in the Scottish highlands near Ullapool
