Shame they went with chav style early 2000's Jap style clear "Lexus" rear lights.

Anyone offering these (which look so much better) as an aftermarket option yet?

I'm afraid I agree about the rear lights cluster. There are a few JDM options but really quite expensive.

I saw a black GT86 today.

I've still seen more Mclaren MP415's though in the same time frame.
MP4-12C's you mean?

woohoo

I saw one of the metallic brick red (?) ones today, really nice looking in the flesh.

One of my favourite photos, a GT86 in its natural environment, nowhere near a city or a motorway

Had a blast in one of these today and it was great fun but WHY OH WHY OH WHY couldn't they put in a semi-decent interior? How much more would somewhere decent to be have cost - £500?

I've seen two thus far. both GT86s and both finished in metallic black (Whick looked great IMO!) its a smashing little car i must say, the shape and stance of it is spot on!
Can't wait to see one up close now smile

Some nice snaps on here BTW, particularly liking the one with XH558s nose poking over the hedge! biggrin

. . . auto is cheaper to tax and better mpg apparently . . .
Will be interesting to see from owners reports which actually has better real-world mpg, seems like autos are often tailored to the official lab tests at the expense of the real world.

The only autos on Fuelly are 1. 25 mpg and 2. 35 mpg. hehe Bit of a variation: click.

i have an auto version.. wasnt [totally] sure it was the right decision but loving it now.
cruise on, over c10-20 mile sections of private road (overall fairly flat - some small inclines, likewise descents) is getting over 40mpg every time .. 43.2mpg in the image below (cruise control on for the distance).

- 2500rpm @ 80mph is decent!

On average though, im low 30s i think [on Super UL], but i dont do much motorway in general, lots of A & B road blasts, also i'm very much enjoying selecting the sport buttons with the manual mode in the AT [its fully manual, will let you bounce the redline if you miss your change, and allows you to drop a number of gears quickly provided you'd be doing <7100rpm (7200?) in the selected gear].
Ive dropped a couple cogs quickly on the mway, (coming out of a clear roadworks section) and the automatic blip/rev match is superb, dropped to 2nd at 50mph from 4th and the change was fantastic, so smooth and quick, i held it at ~6k rpm for a couple secs then gunned it past the 'go for it' signs.. fantastic. Even with the auto box on this car, it really doesnt feel "slow" at all once you get the rpms up .. hehe

Picked mine up today - loving it so far, although due to a pre-arrange weekend away with kids and MTBs, it'll stay in the garage !

Nice one. Just wait till you have a few miles on the clock - they loosen up nicely. evil
