Sent - bottom line is Infinity were useless, the dealer network is veneer deep in true service, the V5 incorrect and the only good part of the overall experience was the car.

Never ever again INFINITY is about as far from Lexus as the North and South Pole.

Still didn't receive the message DS. Sorry to hear about the hassle with the V5, a sad end to the ownership experience.. Did it go to WBAC?
I think an email to Infiniti UK highlighting this thread might help them sharpen the customer service focus...
As you have said, it's a good car but let down by the lack of customer service from the dealer network, which in reality is mainly due to the fact that Infiniti UK don't seem to take the UK market very seriously.

The email address is current and correct. There must be a problem with messaging through the site I guess.

Interesting so see how it goes at Infiniti Hull tomorrow, I am hopeful as warranty details sent to me by email, but maybe being nieve!
So far though Hull far more service oriented than Reading.

DS, have you talked to Hull at all or only Reading and Liverpool?
From what I have seen so far the warranty mirrors the new car warranty and I have not heard of Infiniti not delivering on any warranty claims have you?
Yes it is a concern if they are not even dealing with warranty matters correctly, mine has never had to have anything done so far.

Sad to see you go DS, particularly as you did enjoy the car.
Just got back from Infiniti Hull, what a difference a family owned dealership is to the Infiniti owned Reading, Brum dealers.
Not only did I get my 2 year 60,000 mile extended warranty, the total service was exactly how a premium brand service should be.
Walking into the dealership, we were met by the MD Steve, who came over and said welcome Mr and Mrs Walker even before I had gone to reception. Must have been looking out for the car reg, but a nice touch!
It was clear their approach is one of high level customer service, the letters and cards on show from satisfied clients support the reviews on their websites.
I could not have asked for more time spent addressing my issues of customer service from Infiniti and left very comfortable that I will very likely use them as my default dealership for the future and probably continue with the brand as I do love the car.
I did talk to Steve the owner about the many issues highlighted on Pistonheads and if anyone wants to call him he would be happy to try to assist as would his Sales Manager Ben.
I left very satisfied AND with 2 visits to the Red Bull F1 factory for me and the missus and 2 rounds of golf at their local golf club during the next service.
That and the email from the MD hoping I had a good trip home was very impressive.
Keep the faith in Infiniti guys maybe just give Hull a call to try to solve your issues as they really want to.

Hello all, I have recently purchased an FX30d and am really pleased so far. It's been back to the main dealer in Birmingham for a couple of minor issues to be addressed (brake squeal and armrest rattle) which were resolved straight away. I do however have some play in the drivers seat; it can move forward a couple of mm when braking which is not ideal. Does anyone else have this issue?

Mine had a few mm in the seat, they couldn't fix it and I'm a heavy fekker so I got over it.

Yes, I'm getting used to it so won't be a problem.

Hi and a belated congrats on the new car.
The drivers seat issue seems to be a design fault mine has had 2 seat subframes replaced under warranty and it still has a little play in it..
Has anyone bought the used car approved warranty recently? Reading still don't seem to know anything and Hull never got back to me.

I had an FX37 3.7 car for over 2 years - it was brilliant - butecho the service sentiments.

I am however bored of the X5 and going to go back (despite saying I wouldnt when I tried top sell/px the old one!) and try an FX 50 this time.

Have seen one that I like - if there are any others out there looking to sell, let me know quickly!

Dont pay much for one, when I wanted to sell none of the dealers would bid on it.

Thanks - I did have exactly that problem when I sold my 37 almost 2 years ago...!
Perhaps I am just daft going back for more - but I did love the car - and I will love it more in 5l V8 guise...

2010 car - what value?
