Rolling Road meet at AMD Thurrock

Now booked for 10th August!!!! Their dates ran out quickly. Ill pop back on cloiser to the time but keep the list going for those who can attend.

I am looking to set up a RR meet for the 'Lexus Owners Club' primarily but opening it up to others as well dependent on nmumbers from the LOC.. I called 'AMD Tuning' in based in Thurrock to get some details.

- We need 15-20 cars
- If we get over 20 cars they will throw in a BBQ
- We need to book 1-2 months in advance
- £35 per person for 2 runs on the dyno

AMD are a well established and well recognised tuner with a car in BTTC. Link to their site is below.

Before we discuss dates lets start a list to see who would e interested! Copy and paste the list and add your name.

If we are short on numbers i may go to another forum i am on to drum up interest there as well.

Any ideas?

I'd be interested in running an Evo and a 911, but the former needs 4WD dyno and it's pretty pointless/dangerous is not keeping an eye on boost and AFR levels.

Amd is deffo a 4wd dunno, as they do a lot of Quattro Audi tuning;
RS4,6, R8 etc.

It would be a neat trick driving 2 cars there

I live about 15 minutes away.

Put me down for two slots then please, I'll assume they'll log boost and AFR.

Just called ADM to check and it only includes Torque and BHP read outs.

Its on Sunday 10th August, I call them today to double check they have not done anything odd. I had to book months in advance so i really hope not!

Oh right, that's a bit poor in my opinion - how do they know that tuned turbo charged cars are running properly before they do full throttle power runs to the red line - seems like a recipe for disaster?

In that case, I'll only run the (NA) Porsche.

Might just be for RR days as takes longer? They tune Turbos so not sure why not included.

If it were me, I'd rather take 10 minute more per run than have an engine blow up on the dyno - so many variables can cause an engine to run lean or overboost and they'll have no way of knowing until it goes pop?

I was surprised. Maybe i wasnr clear. You could always call them and ask as well? Couldn't hurt?
