I was going to go for the lower spec accenta premium, but seeing both side by side at the dealer the Tekna was so much better overall, the interior looks loads better, the wheels look better and more suited and the final selling point was the included roof rails so I can drop my existing roof bars, bike racks and roof box if required. The lease cost per month was only a few £ higher for the tekna, probably down to future resale value being better with all the toys.

Had a new record this morning, 62mpg on my journey to work. Traffic was flowing, but at around 40-60 mph all the way

On the way home tonight speeds were much higher, average mpg was still 44 and speed was possibly a bit higher than it should have been on the motorway

Well, we've gone for an Acenta Premium 1.2 DiG-T in Gun Metallic - didn't fancy the 19" wheels!! Hopefully be picking it up this week (date TBC!).

Really looking forward to it. Didn't fancy a diesel - we don't really do enough miles to justify it and the 1.2 turbo seems good - it will suit our needs fine - it's mostly just the two of us (Mrs FTR and me).

Mrs FTR has just passed her UK test (being American) and she didn't like the Civic (although she's got used to it now) and its a nice compromise for us. Maybe if I stop commuting on the train, I'll get myself something a little more fun smile

Thanks for the replies so far smile Looks like a test drive is in order to see what they both drive like. Headline lease prices look quite good - if you're happy with 'standard' red paint but metallic seems to add £25 a month which is a bit off - normally metallic is only slightly more as it add to the residual value.
Anyone care to share the deal they've been able to achieve?

Who's that with? Mine is on a 3+35 lease for £299 per month from mental Ling. 12k miles per year. 1.2 DIG-T Tekna with metallic paint.

Mine is on lease from Tilsun.1.5dci Tekna with metallic paint, 6+23, 15k per year, non maintained. Monthly cost is £261 inc VAT.

10k was approx £15 per month less.I am not sure what difference metallic paint made as I never bothered to get a quote without. I initially wanted gun metal, but was quoted delivery in June, tilsun had an ink blue pre ordered and available in mid March so I took that.

Biggest difference between 10 and 15k was maintenance cost, it was available for £8 per month on 10k, but went to £30 per month on 15k, I decided to not bother at that price. I may regret that when it needs 4 new tyres before being returned.

We've now arranged to collect ours on Friday woohoo

Ours is on a PCP, so won't bore you with the figures. I'm a bit surprised by the lead-times being quoted, ordered ours on March 23rd and it's at the dealer now - we could have it a bit sooner but Friday suits us best.

Fantastic! Post up some pictures when you have it! I think Teknas have longer lead times than the other trim levels for some reason, so perhaps that's why yours has arrived so quickly! That's good going! thumbup

OK thumbup will do!

I did wonder if it was because all the posters here seem to want Teknas. I guess dealers might get priority over leasing companies too.

I've ordered one also, a Black 1.5 Diesel Tekna. Should be with us next month some time. Replacing my wifes A-Class, have to say on the extended test drive we had, it was a very impressive car.

It has come along way since the first gen model. Looks very sporty, drives much better and the Tekna has all the spec you could ever need. Can't wait to collect ours at the end of the month.

Ours is ordered and will be with us early May. I drove both and ended up going for the 1.2 DiG-T Acenta Premium in Gun Metallic. As previous poster mentioned, I was amazed at how it drove considering the size of car it's shifting. Certainly it's not doing to burn anyone off at the lights, but it's capable of making decent enough progress and was very refined - excellent at motorway speeds. I'm actually really looking forward to getting it!

1.5 dci Tekna arriving in May to replace a Lexus RX 400h. Were going to get the accenta premium but thought our boys would be too tough on the interior. Went for the Magnetic Red.

I had a diesel 14 plate as a loan car for a week. Suprisingly comfortable and nice to drive, loads of gadgets, 60mpg average, Absolute 80's on DAB smile.

Amazing how the auto dip/full beam works so accurately, the lane beep works accurately too.

Not keen on electronic handbrakes but it worked well. The most annoying thing is when it cuts out occasionally at junctions, and posts a message "0.32 kg CO2 saved" which is just pure bullst, but that auto cut out gimmick can be switched off too.

Took delivery of mine yesterday. Honestly it's a pleasure to drive, sure it no Pistonheads sports car but I have access to other cars and this is a great family soot chucker! I have never been in anything with as much tech and the birds eye view cameras for parking are a must have imo!

Front cover of What Car shows that it is a class leader now!

Looking good! Read that review too - even more so considering it wasn't even the Tekna they reviewed against the competition!

Well, my Qashqai is due to be delivered to the dealer tomorrow. biggrin

As part of the lease deal, the car is supposed to be delivered, but this can take up to ten working days from the point at which it arrives to the dealer. I'm bloody desperate for the thing as my Wife's old car has now been sold, so we're left with just my MINI, which, seeing as we're due a baby at pretty much any moment, isn't much use as there are too few seats for a start! I'm in the process of finding out whether I can collect it from the dealer to save time, so fingers crossed you'll see pictures of my new car on this thread soon! I'm going to be in big trouble if we don't have a car to take the baby home from the hospital in. eekhehe

Thinking about ordering one. G2L are offering a 1.5Dci Teckna for £277/month 6+23. £50 a month more than a 1.2 Acenta Premium so think it's worth the little extra.

Seems a good price??
