Thats good, im paying £360, 4 year lease, all servicing, maintenance, tyres, insurance ... the works, 20k annual mileage for a 1.5 Tekna, in white
Hi, newbie here looking to buy a Qashqai. JVaughan, that is the exact deal I'm looking for. Where have you leased that deal from?Has anyone with a diesel had trouble with the DPF? Looking at getting a nearly new and was originally going to go for the 1.5 DCI but the dealer suggested that they'd seen issues with people doing low mileage having blocked DPFs and recommended the petrol (our car will see minimal use).

My brother had a latest model diesel Qashqai and had problems with the DPF. In the end the dealer took it back against a petrol oneWe have done 7000 miles in our QQ now,, including 2000ish to and from the south of France.
Very impressed and I did 680 miles in 11 hours on the way back, average 37mpg with a roof box on and cruise at 80 (ish )
Not bad for the 1.2 Petrol, slightly more power would have been useful for lane changes/over takes on autoroutes and to keep it in 6th (or even 5th) on the passes. It seemed to much prefer the 99 fuel has apposed to the 95 e10...

Has anyone got the 1.6 petrol? How does it compare to the 1.2? Is it worth the extra cost, plus tax & fuel?
We've had a 1.2 for about 18 months now and it's fine. It struggles a bit with four up, going up hills etc. and sometimes with roundabouts if you catch it off boost. A friend has just bought a 1.6 petrol Tekna and we had a short ride in it. It certainly has more poke as you'd expect. If they'd actually been selling the 1.6 when we bought ours, I would have been tempted, at least to give one a try.Is it worth it? Only you can answer that one for yourself!!
Just clocked up 10,000 miles. Average mpg is now up to 57-60 mpg everywhere I go !!... on am motorway run at a constant 75mph, I can get 65mpg. Stuck in Average speed camera areas, and the speed limiter set to 50mph ive seen 69mpg average.!!
Having a few issues with the gadgets though ... blind spot warning seems to have a mind of its own when its raining, alerting me to "phantom" cars in my blind spots (even when on country lanes and empty roads). Front Collision avoidance radar packed up .. Nissan found 1 meter of blue rope wound around the inside of the bumper!!
In recent heavy rain, the 19" wheels and 225 tyres are terrible.. managed even keeping a constant 70mph, the car was aquaplaning.
Wipers seem to want to go onto the fastest speed all the time when put on "auto", regardless of slight drizzle !...
Lane departure warning switched off (by me) because it didnt like the fact that in road works / joining motorways, you have to cross a white line !!
Full glass roof is now regarded as a gimic and remains shut !!
keyless entry is great, no longer having to fish around for keys when approaching the car.
Do I still love it ... Yes, but needs a little more power !!

I'm collecting my leased 1.5 DCi Tekna next week. Been driving around in a 1.5 Juke for the last year and looking forward to getting it.
I collected my new car last week and am really impressed with the comfort and quietness of the cabin in comparison to my Juke. The thing I wasn't impressed with is the car left the factory with illegal dipped beam and wasn't picked up in the PDI. I was being flashed and beeped everywhere I went on the first night. Quite embarrassing situation.
The headlights on the Tekna can only be adjusted through the ECU which currently can only be done by a dealer.
I was quite amazed that the cars aren't checked more thoroughly before leaving the factory.
