Mods, I hope you don't mind me posting here - I'm not affiliated with Blyton or Javelin in any way, I'm just trying to organise a decent Toyota track-day and thought there could be some PH interest. Feel free to bin/move if needs be smile

Javelin Trackdays are holding a 'Toyota-only' trackday at Blyton park on Saturday July 19th. The Toyota Sprint Series are currently running a competitive event at Blyton Park on Sunday 20th July, and according to Colin there has been a fair amount of interest from competitors in a track-day there so they can get to know the track etc.

Colin has agreed to open up Saturday 19th July at Blyton Park as a ‘Toyota Only’ track day. Colin is taking bookings for Toyotas only until the end of May. If there are spaces available after that he will open the day up to the general public to ensure the day is viable, which I think is fair enough. A typical day at Blyton runs between 45-54 cars and so far we have about 20 cars signed up, primarily MR2s and GT86s.

The details:

Cost per car: £139
Format: Open Pitlane
Noise Limits: 105Dba static
Sign-on time: 7.45-9.00am
Helmet hire: £10
Passenger pass: £5
Additional driver: £20
Tuition: £20

Book here:

Currently there are a group of us driving up on Friday 18th July and staying at the Shorpe Premier Inn:

Blyton is a fantastic and technical track, which also benefits from miles of Armco-free run-off so you needn’t worry too much about bending your pride and joy. I'm aiming to make this a novice-friendly day, in the hope that people who wouldn't normally consider tracking their car will give it a go as part of a club-type event. For anyone concerned, track-day insurance is available from a variety of companies.

Cheers,

Ben

Had a fantastic day out at this day, even when I let my girlfriend (who'd only ever driven my car twice before, and has never driven on a track!) have a go wink

Couple of pics from the on-site photographer:

This one is me at the wheel, and this might now be my favourite picture of my car.

And this is the missus at the wheel, driving through a rather large amount of standing water at Ushers after barely braking for the corner and making me grip my passenger door so tightly I think I've left a permanent imprint wink To be fair though, the car went around the corner with no problem - guess the AWD works wonders even in the wet! wink
