So I am off to Japan tomorrow and as with most things in my life the trip will focus around the automobile. So I thought I would try to document the trip here.

Will need to figure out how to upload pictures over the next 24 hours but should be fun.

I'm going to Japan for a couple of weeks for my 30th in 3 years. I will be watching this with interest. The culture fascinates me and of course I am a huge fan of their cars.

Good luck. Which you may need. I've been there twice (about 6 weeks in all) and saw relatively few interesting cars in Tokyo/Kyoto/Nara/Izu.

There was some Sunday showing off in cars around Aoyama Itchome to Shibuya area. Mostly Italian exotica and then a few old classics. I saw relatively few Japanese exotica (no LFAs, etc). And I saw just one NSX in all that time.

But keep your eyes open, even for tiny garages in unpromising streets. This was the car highlight of the last trip:

Hi Rich
We had a great time over in Japan - I don't think we've seen you since we got back. Chris did a write up of our visit to Hiroshima, where we hired an MX5 and met up with our friend and his car club. Also took quite a few photos of other cars we spotted.
