An interesting read...I know many hate him...but this review sums up the GTR and why I love mine perfectly.

One day I want to drive one of these. I've had a Skyline and an Evo and they were amazingly swift to drive, stop, turn so this must be some car. One day......

Reading that really made me miss my Stage 1 59 plate GTR... It's just a mental car in every aspect. Only thing letting it down a little is the interior quality but that's subjective I suppose.

Just a shame about the way it looks! Subjective I know but one reason why I've never really drooled over these.

I spent today wandering around the Nissan Global HQ in Yokohama, Japan and saw the GT-R Nismo (with the dirty great carbon wing) it looks utterly mental! Saw a GT-R with the Nismo pack too and it looked take in comparison!
Good lord I want one in my life! Unfortunately the test drives were for 35+years old only.

What does that entail ?

What is the motivation for more power, because you can ? does it sometimes feel lacking ?

Basically it's a built engine (rods, pistons, bearings etc), bigger intercooler, manifold, turbos etc etc from Litchfields. Also needs new gearbox which is rather expensive but needs to be as the torque will 800lbft ish.
These packages have proven utterly reliable, producing over 850hp.
Motivation, mid life crisis, (stage 4.25 Litchfield is mega quick anyway but I want something I am stunned by)..

Great review from clarkson hehe

Im pretty satisfied with my litchfield stage 4.25 GTR wth GTC titan exhaust.. Love the sound and torque is amazing.. Its a shame we dont see many reviews of a significantly tuned GTR, im sure it would change the perspective of many people who dislike the car or just hate for no reason lol..

Anyway, will be selling mine shortly and plan to get a 2015 GTR, planning to do way more work on that once i get my hands on it biggrin

Great article and Clarkson at his best. I love this car, but is he right about how it drives in the wet? I've read a few articles in EVO and Autocar which suggest that it can be quite a handful in the wet, in an EVO I was reading last year, one tester struggled to keep up with a well driven Merc A45 AMG in one.....
