Those same bonnet rams on the 370z !
I have my 370 maintained by a garage that specialise in GTR's , they tell me that it will cost about twice what my 370 does per year, about £1k. Servicing isnt that bad or that frequent , tyres are expensive but last about 10k and cost about £1500, the brakes hurt a bit about £2k for a discs and pads every 20-25k , if you track it you can double that lot

For me, two grand on brakes every 25k would be every five or more years.
I think once you get a car rule out whether there are any outstanding problems to deal with, or consumables needed, then it is generally plain sailing, the GTR is a Nissan after all and shouldnt generate the random expenses that perhaps a Maserati might, just through being Japanese.

Had a GTR for 23 months,bought it with 12k on the clock and sold it with 27k. In that time it had 2 services at Litchfields and the gearbox solenoid clips done which came to about £1300. The only other thing it needed was a a set of tyres which were £1100 ordered online. And that was it. Original brakes were still going strong at 27k miles and I had no problems with it at all,though this is not the case with all of them.

No it does not include depreciation. I've had it for 39 months and I've lost £11k on it.That's all servicing, tyres, an access port and a few other bits, actually it is probably a little less than £2k per year.
I do about 10k miles per year. I don't keep track of petrol, tax or insurance...

I think I could run one, just short of about 30 grand to put to the purchase price, £300 a month is quite a chunk of cash in depreciation but when you see what you get, it doesn't seem so bad, people pay more than that to lease diesel saloons, I suspect that the depreciation will be a lot shallower on a 40k example bought now.
I wonder if the depreciation on the R35 will follow the R34's pattern ?

I had one of the first 09 cars. Paid £39k for it and sold it two yrs later for £36 though I'm sure I could've got more had I not put it up for sale just after Xmas. The guy I sold it to has just sold it on a year later for £37k!I can't see prices of tidy early cars moving much now. If anything they seem to be creeping back up.
