No. Toyota slow to respond (as in haven't) with the authority to replace the part.

Dealer have ordered it anyway but it's on back order, ETA being 24th.

This only gives them a few days to fit & test when they did have a full two weeks while we're over in the U.S..

Seriously unimpressed with Toyota. Crap from the ordering part and will undoubtedly be just as awkward when my wife tries to reject this PoS frown

No faith at all now. Such a shame.

I know how you feel.
The dealer I bought from was terrible, the second one I tried when I gave up on the first wasn't a lot better.
I've since settled on Platinum Toyota in Bath and they've been excellent.

In fairness, this isn't on the dealer. None of it has been frown

The car was delayed for weeks at Portbury Docks waiting for heated seat pads.

Now the ABS pump is unavailable / on back order.

I know it's a specialist car but Toyota are proving themselves to be the automotive equivalent of a chocolate fire guard with this car.

Wife has just advised Toyota Financial Services & the dealer that the car will be rejected if not fixed with the new part by the time we get back.

Just to update this.

Car is back with a new ABS pump / module and so far, seems great.

Toyota financial services refunded half of the first months PCP payment which I think is fair.

The dealer has been great. My wife got a lovely bouquet of flowers & a card of them.

Sadly, whilst it was there, two of the alleged anti theft logo valve caps go pinched but they're getting then replaced smile

Love the car to drive, look at & be in. Wife is reluctant to use it just now (trust issues) so I'm playing.

Ah yes, the infamous valve cap thieves. From experience working in 3 volume dealerships I can assure you they are 100% real & are totally not just the techs forgetting to put them back on & then losing them rolleyes

Glad to hear it's sorted though. But unfortunately that long turn around time isn't just limited to that one dealership, or brand for that matter. But a lot of the time it is genuinely for a pretty legitimate reason.

Not as surprised (or gutted) as we were....lol.

Bloody great to drive. My wife is taking the 86 for its first long journey tomorrow. About 270 miles return. She's nervous, which I don't like frown

Hi OP,

Out of interest what fuel economy are you averaging? I have a long commute but am trying to persuade myself into one of these.

Thanks,
Matt

You'll get mid 30s on a commute.
Spirited driving means higher revs in this car than torquey turbo cars and more of an mpg hit. 6th on a cruise is very good.
Great car. Love it.
