I've been looking at MR2s for quite a while to go with my Eunos, but the main issue seems to be finding reputable places where you can get used parts from (for example for MX5s there are places like Autolink etc..).

Ive found a car locally with a blown engine which I'd love to take on as a project assuming I can fairly easily get hold of decent running engines.

Does anyone know if there is the equivalent of Autolink for MR2s?

TCB parts is the daddy when it comes to OEM Toyota parts ad reasonable prices. I have used them many a time for my GT-Four and order before 2pm and the parcel is on your door step the next day without fail. They mainly specialize in GT-Four's, MR2 and Supra's.

OP, it would help to know which version of the MR2 you're talking about, Mk1, Mk2, or Mk3. TCB & Camskill are both excellent for parts. I very much doubt you will get a complete engine from Camskill though. Not sure about TCB (never tried!).

You're more likely to find one by looking in the club forums (IMOC/MR2OC/MR2ROC) for cars being broken. Another possibility is Woodsport as they do V6 conversions (mostly to Mk2s).

Then scrub MR2ROC: that's Mk3 specific (the R=Roadster). Well worth becoming a full member on the other two imo.
Discounts/group buys saved me far more than the membership fees in my first year alone.

I semi-restored a Mk1 MR2 with a blown head gasket and both of the above were superb. MR2 Ben is more likely to be able to get you and engine sorted.

The various mr2 owners pages on facebook are best for complete engines and they go cheap. Pretty much instant reach nationwide (worldwide even!).

(mr2 parts for sale wanted etc)

Luke at Pacific Works. He has done many conversions and have quite a few replacement engines lying around as well as many spare parts needed.
