Hi guys.

Could somebody point me in the direction of a website with NSX buying information? Also a link to a trusted dealer would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions on ownership. I'm in Essex, you're welcome to have a look over my car if you want.

Thats if you can stand the site of it after all the dents from the Nurburgring!

(for resale purposes I must stress that this is a joke relating to Gran Turismo 4)

sight/site?

I need to curb/kerb my grammatical mistakes. Perhaps I just need more practice/practise!

I was driven back to PH by Gran Turismo 4!
Just had to chat with fellow PHers about it, he excitement was too much!

Anyway, gotta go, need to perfect my driving skills in my NSX wannabe, the CRX!

Cheers Trackdemon!

Its either an NSX or a TVR Tamora if the Elise goes (getting a little bored of it now - not being able to throw it around much on public roads).

lots to read about, but I'll be back with questions!

One thing - is an import worth even thinking about? Are parts a nightmare or totally transferable (stories of imports waiting 6 weeks to get a window glass stick in my mind)

- Trackdemon, if I get moving further down the NSX route I'll certainly take you up on your offer! Thanks

Imports are worth a look, but if you're budget can stretch I'd look at a "proper" UK car - you'll get the extra cash back come resale. Proper UK cars are anything between £20-£50k

Parts are only a total nightmare if you pay Honda UK's joke prices for, well, just about anything outside of the standard service schedule. How about £6k for a steering rack? Get round it simply by importing parts - just about everything is interchangeable and there are many specialists stateside who will be happy to furnish you with equivalent (and sometimes better) parts for realistic prices.

Good choice of motors - I have an NSX and love it to bits, have driven several Tamoras, and to be fair, probably love them more, but can't bring myself to risk the potential running costs. With the NSX you *know* it will never break. Concur with all trackdemon said above, have had a few dealings with Mark at Dali racing and the transactions have always been easy and great value - usually less than 1/3 of Honda UK's (already discounted for me) prices, even after 4-5 day shipping. Good luck - your decision will boil down to how important reliability is - if you ask Tamora owners I'm sure they all tell you their cars have been as good as gold, but I'm not sure I buy it. I know that unless you need a new clutch, the NSX will certainly cost less than £500 a year to run, even doing 20,000 miles a year. If you have any other q's probably best to email me as I may not be around on PH much for the next couple of weeks.
Cheers
Matt

Hi Gents,

Does anybody have an opinion of the pricing of an NSX Ive seen for sale:

1996
47,000 miles
Targa
FHSH - not sure about cambelts (when are they due)?
UK car, sold to this owner from a main dealer in early '04

Asking just shy of £24k - I think he might budge a bit but probably not loads.

Cheers
Max
