As a recent convert to Suzuki, I think that looks very good indeed.

I had 13k to spend as my Audi A3 was written off. I looked at all sorts Volvo v40, fiesta st etc etc.

Then I found a book with a list of stuff I'd repaired on Audi and realised it was actually a money Pitt.

I realised the only cars I'd never had an issue with are jap and straight petrol. So the hunt was on. I looked a lot at civic type r, civic 1.8 etc. Bit i kept going back to Suzuki.

I don't regret it, simple and fun. Plus loads of kit. I'm a very happy bunny.

Like that Colour. I've had my boost blue one since August, absolutely love it. I recently started a YouTube channel. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCA7gNrZTOH3sUq6IeGX...

I am so tempted by one of these next year - nobody has a bad word to say about them.

Love the grey colour as well. Let us know how you get on.

What's the mpg on these. Can you get 40mpg+ out of them on longish commutes?

I have never heard a bad word about them.

Yes.

I'm averaging just over 40 mpg and most of my journeys are less than 6 miles. It's not the most frugal at motorway speeds, but I've seen 46 mpg (brim to brim, twice in succession) going from Herts to Dorset and back.

Someone claimed 48 mpg on a long commute, but I think that must have been at a very steady 50ish.

And no, I don't drive like my pants are on fire.

Love it.

My girlfriend has the standard 1.2 in the same colour which is a great car, but we both regret her not getting the Sport.

They look awesome, jealous.

Is the Mk1 swift with 5 gears still a decent motor?

Thinking about buying one for a 60 mile round trip for work

If your commute is motorway based the Swift is not ideal due to the five speed box making it noisy and a tad juicy, I would defo recommend for B roads though - fantastic fun!

Mk2 has a 6 speed box so is much more refined at higher speeds. I had a Mk2 and averaged 39 mpg in 2.5 years of ownership and loved every minute but couldn't keep it as my commute is changing to be a 50 mile daily trip.

Very nice OP - enjoy it!

Yup - day I picked it up. I miss it quite a lot!

Another thing to think about with these if you are commuting is servicing is every 9k miles.
