Hello chaps.
As above really, I'm after a car and have been offered a nice one for a good price, low miles and seemingly massive options. It will spend its life bimbling up and down the motorway.
Never having been into lexi I'm clueless.
I would appreciate any comments.
Thank you in advance.
Mike

A friend of mine is a lexus tech and he loves the gs which is unusual as most brand techs hate the brand they work on. I have an is220d and I adore it great all rounder three years now and never let us down. Great spec for small money in a lexus.

Thanks. And yes I've always had German cars but was really impressed with this GS. It's not much money either.hell of a lot of car for the money.

I had a gs300 2005 some time ago and it was a great car for the money

Few issues:

Fuel pump failed on me (quite rare I think)
Creaky dashboards
Not that much headroom in the back
Good levels of equipment, vented leather etc, but the tech is old so while reliable its pretty old-school - sat nav for example isn't the best but I wouldn't expect it to be anyway
Exhaust corrosion, hit a bump in the road, backbox came away from the main pipe - could happen to any car smile

That's off the top of my head. As it was Lexus approved the first and last issues were fixed without issues. I would have another though, total bargains.

I am on my fourth Lexus although never had a GS, every one of them 100% reliable.

Hi Mike, been a while !

Buy the Lexus, not much goes wrong really if been maintained well.

Bought this late Dec for under £500. Everything works, drives nicely, ideal motorway cruiser. Didn't need another car, but hey ho !
