I have posted in General Gassing but have been advised to ask the question here. Where is the best place to get insurance for a Nissan Skyline for a 40+ bloke.

I've been told that tuttle and shadowninja are the lads in the know.

Cheers.

Howdy, saw pic in profile of your Griff, is a really cool red colour
All 'liners in UK are grp 20 insurance,so there ain't no cheap way around it.
Am same age as your pal,car is garaged, low crime(grp area B)5yrs ncb.Licence isn't too tatty
Warwick-Davis insure it with a protected policy for just over £800.00 +£500 exccess.
At the time it was the best I could find.
Many other skyline owners go for Adrian Flux, who specialises in import/unusual cars.
To the best of my knowledge there arn't any discounts to be had from the main skyline owners clubs. However, there has been rumors recently of ppl insuring their cars as 'future classics'-& getting fairly good deals,'fraid I don't yet know much about it yet tho.
Best of luck chap.
Matt.

What Skyline is it? GTR or no? I've been with Priviledge and Liverpool Victoria.

Here's a list of insurers who will deal with Skylines - I rang most of them for a quote, but all wouldn't cover my mods! They deal with stock setup.

My R34 GTR is insured through direct line for around £600, in Aberdeen with full no-claims, garage, clean licence etc.

Midnight purple R34 Import? or UK V spec?
£600.00 sounds very good.Is this the 1st year with Direct or have you insured thru them for a few years?

No been with Direct Line for years, also have my daily drive Cavalier with them. The skyline is an import.

Yeah midnight purple 2 is great but going to be selling it soon to get another cerbera i think, I hardly ever use it (only done about 5,000 miles in 2 1/2 years( so might as well sell it to somebody who is going to use it for what is was designed

Cheers for the complement Matt, The colour is Rosso Pearlescent, it looks nice in the flesh. It looks as though you and a few skyliner buddies are having a bit of a crack in your profile.
Cheers for all the advice chaps, the spec of the car as he's told me is Nissan Skyline GTS 2.5T type M and is an import.
