What happened?
Expensive trip back from Le Mans and just generally sorting the car out - New Shocks & Springs all round, New Coil, Leads and shrouds, New discs and pads all round, new fuel pump and lines all through, would love to go but cannot justify the expense given the above this 1/4

The rough list:
some nice cars
Where else could a 326bhp Supra be the slowest car in the area????
Should've been an RX-7 in the list but nothing about the reserve list in my mailbox which is a pity considering I was "at the top of the reserve list"... Next time maybe!
edited to add: this post sounded a bit whigney on re-read, wasn't meant to be!!!

Hope you can improve on your times Gazboy (you should get better with each run).
Aiming to beat anything in particular?
I think this lot will be my main opposition, although the 512 and DB7 will be bloody fast on the second half of the runway, and pull away convincingly. The BMW's will kick my arse around the bottom bend, but I'd like a run with one of them, side by side after that corner, just to see what happens (same for the NSX) the SEAC and T350C will slaughter me off the line, should catch the SEAC before the timing gear though. Never gone up against the Mazzer, so I'm clueless, although he's always posted better speeds.
Aston Martin DB7 Vantage
Ferrari 512TR
BMW M3 CSL
BMW M3 CSL
TVR t350C
TVR Chimaera
TVR SEAC
VX220
Maserati 3200GT/Morgan Aero8
Honda NSX
Want to add RX-7 to that Gaz?

So, representing Japchat so far:
Iaint; RX7
Trackdemon: NSX
PDR427: PPP Impreza
Myself: Supra
So thats us supporting the bottom of the table
Fun!
Got myself booked in for an emergency mapping session on Saturday as it's been runnning a little rough since removal of the air-pump. The current mapping is a long way from optimum so there should be afew more ponies waiting to trot out on Sunday. AND I'll be able to put it back up to 0.9 bar!!!
Betting on the finishing order? Last time out to refresh memory:
Trackdemon: NSX (157)
PDR427: PPP Impreza (151)
Gazboy: Supra (149)
In theory I should top out about 175 on gearing (assuming long enough run) but at brunters..? I'll be happy for mid 150s!

Brunters is a funny place- you never acheive what you think will be 'easy'- I never thought the Supe would struggle like that to hit a measley 149mph.
Not so measley though is it? Also why I said I'd be happy with it [for a 1st try at vmaxing]...
until you compare to 196 that is!!!

Its true, once you start to get into biggish figures (150mph+) your covering distance so quickly that unless your car has huge grunt & acceleration then getting proper big boys figures is nigh impossible. Doesn;t mean your car is slow, just that the 600bhp monsters will always disappear.
E.G. the NSX I'm certain would go faster but being a 5 speeder when you shift 4th - 5th (about 125mph) you'll drop momentarily out of VTEC, where the real power is. Car takes a while to haul back into VTEC and just as its pulling well you hit the timing guns. personally I think its a 165mph motor car, no more - but still not bad for a "mere" 3.0 n/a.....
