What sort of time will we be finished?

My potential new car is close by, I'm wondering if I could squeeze a second test drive in on Sunday..

Imagine his face if we all turned up!

Hi all,

Although a PH member for a while now, never actually been on any of your meets or gatherings so thought I would come along tomorrow and catch a bit of rolling road action (especially if a FTO is going on the rollers) if that’s ok. Only as a spectator though.

If it is ok, see you all tomorrow

Still havent found the bloody boost leak still, but be good to see what she pushing out.

Jay

Have you tried the washing up liquid trick for the boost leak?

Does this work like beer goggles? How much Fairy do I have to drink?

I ask for a friend...

Doh!
To check for boost/vacuum leaks along i/c etc tubing:

Using a paintbrush smear a thin coat of washing up liquid over & around the joins/seams etc along the i/c route.
Shove some boost thru it.If you see any bubbles in the w/up-there's yer leak.
If you do this off boost-vacuum you can see the reverse effect, tho you may suck a tiny little amount of w/up liquid into you manifold, shouldn't hurt.

I invited a mate with a stripped out old Civic (ran 14.6s 1/4 at the pod, and he doesn't understand why its so quick!) but he turned it down to go to USC

At least your car survived!

The rover died on the way home; told you the clutch was acting wierd...

The M3 dash (well, my 1.6 litre attempt at it!) was too much for the old girl.

Managed to limp it back, just very glad I've got an alternative mode of transport arriving soon!

It was great meeting you guys - definately looking forward to running next time!

Top day! Thanks to Charlie & all at SRR!

Oh and yes - the NOISE from that FTO was wonderful!

A very disapointing 210bhp at the fly Especially when it should be doing around 235.....

Just need to find out why its only running 0.6 bar of boost instead of 0.8 ...

Spoke to the gf, who gave me "permission" (!) to find the lost power, as long as I uprate the standard crappy brakes first.

I'll make a modder out of her yet
