Hello Jap Chatters. I haven't been around here much since selling the Carlos :( and my need for wastegates and turbo-lag is getting serious now. But on the other hand, my 35+ mpg is quite refreshing aswell.

Anyway, I have purchased a MK1 Golf to get me around, but the seats leave a little to be desired, both in condition and comfort.

I have seen a pair of FTO seats|http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10400&item=4558123131&rd=1 on ebay, and was wondering how supportive/comfortable they are, as I have never been inside one??

Any comments (other than the pattern, this doesn't bother me. Mainly because I dont have eyes in my a*se) are welcome.

Cheers guys n gals

Ed

Youll need some subframes to mount up to a Mark1.

I sit in an FTO every day and find the seats very comfortable. Mind you I have the face lift version seats in leather - which apparently are quite rare.

I have spent several hours in the car without any discomfort - and I have a back problem.

The passenger seats are normally really good. Driver's seats, being used more, genrally have their thigh support foam detatch from the metal frame - easy, but expensive to fix unless you know people that can do it mates-rates.

Driver seat also has a lot of adjustment with front and rear seat height level and the seatbelt guides help keep you strapped in a bit better.

The fabric is generally top-notch, so unless it's been stained should be fine.
