I was thinking of a filter and exhaust for now. Maybe a chip and RR session too?

Also, I want to remove the orange reflectors and side repeaters for black ones. Who sells these? Not into the car modding thing so don't have any links. Just keeping tiny tweeks very subtle, almost unnoticable really. Thanks.

Would strongly recommend getting the rear anti roll bar uprated to kill off the nasty understeer.

Speak to David at Gatwick Subaru who did mine.

Litchfield use Powerstation (www.powerstation.org.uk) for their mechanical work which is probably a good recommendation.

Thanks guys. This is all new to me, so any advice is appreciated!

My local resprayer can finish my wheels in black for a mere 30 quid a corner, so that's great.

Also ordered some black smoke side indicators and black carbon replacements for side wing reflectors (it's the bug eye '02 model, with black body and black tint front headlamps). So, a bit black then.

I've heard the hayward and scott pipes on a 964 carrera. They sounded superb! However a bit of surfing has revealed Prodrive (where my car is originally from) also offer ftermarket tuning. They do a package called PPP, which makes 305bhp. But, you have to buy all the bits from them in one go - no bits and pieces. So no hayward exhaust is possible. The PPP package adds to the car's value, rather than throwing the money away on bits here and there, so I may go that route!

Anyone heard the PPP?

have heard lots of good things about Xtreme Scoobies in Essex.

I haven't used them myself (not being local)

I didn't get mine done though because they take 2-3 days and I needed the car for work.

A guy at work has one. I like it, mainly because it's quite understated.

What year of Scoob? The tuning options are more interesting for some...

It's an '02 bug eye - all black. I removed the badges today ready for it's full respray on monday. Looking way meaner already. Going to have the enormous prodrive spoiler removed too, for that stealth understated RS6-esq look - not the usual scooby look at all.

Decided to go for this black variation, rather than the flat ordinary subaru black which is on there already: audi graphite black. Will take two weeks to do all the colour coding. They're even doing the brake calipers etc. Should look great, so I'll post a pic when it's done.

Get yourself down to Hayward & Scott, then get the rest of a PPP fitted by the dealer. I'm sure they can do that for you. Or get the PPP, sell the Prodrive exhaust and buy a H&S one.

Whatever, just get a H&S exhaust!!!!

Also, Scoobysport and Scoobytec are just around the corner from H&S. Literally, about 40ft away...

Burnt Mills industrial Estate in Basildon, about 1/2mile from my gaff....

I cannot recommend Scoobytek enough. I like you have an 02. They have fitted a complete Scoobysports exhaust front ppe and decat pipe, a new ITG pannel ir filter, uprated fuel pump and re-mapped the ECU. Sounds amazing and goes like you wouldn't beleive.

I wonder how the different exhausts compare on sound: ppp v hayward&scott v scoobysport ?

Do you think the ppp conversion at £1600 is good value, or steep?

If you add up the price of alternative version bits you'd be near that price. Bearing in mind the PPP is warranted it seems pretty reasonable.

The only thing is, I wonder if the ppp 'zorst is good enough sounding?

I've got one on a 99 with a de-cat down pipe. I reckon it sounds pretty damn good and looks a little more subtle than some.

I was after a rather subtle look (not a dirty great dustbin), but still wanted a little rumble

4WD,

Haywood & Scott and scoobysport are the same (well that is what I was told anyway).

I have one of the above on mine (backbox). It makes a lovely rumble at low speed (but not in your face). It is quiet at motorway speeds which is nice on a long journey.
