Got the new (replacement 2nd hand) engine in and running nicely now with all the niggles ironed out.

Received brand new front valance yesterday and now need my replacement wings, main bumper bar and re-do the rear arches.

Last weekend "splashed out" and bout some AutoGlym products in a bid to bring out the best in the 20 year old paint work on my MKI MR2 for JAE. The car will eventually get a full respray, but well cheffed with AutoGlym

Nice Mk1a, make sure you keep the original black trimmings on that!

Hey dude. Know your name from IMOC/MR2OC. Don't worry, the black trimmings stay

You doing JAE?

Good work on the car. Is your rear valence rusting (ie the part just above the exhaust) and if so, how are you going to sort it?

Cheers, Robert

No, the rear valance as such is fine although the rear lower sections (bottom of rear arches on the corners) are quite bad and will be replaced with the rest of the arch sections. All three panels are available, but don't have the details at hand. I can post them later. Most panels are still available from Toyota at their usual high prices, but I use other suppliers who generally are more cost effective.

I would be interested in the suppliers of your panels (I'm guessing JDG?) I'm planning to use Eurosport rear arches and possibly Escort Mk3 sills. I may have to just use sheet steel for the rear valence on mine which is a pity. Thanks, Robert.

Nail on the head with JDG and Eurosport. Erosport can supply an entire arch in either fibreglass or metal. The JDG arch panels come in sections. JDG can also supply the sills.

For the rear valance or entire rear quarters, I'd keep an eye on ebay for people breaking MKI's. Find out if the area is still good and then pop along with an angle grinder
