Having fitted a Mk2 hood to my wife's Mk1 MX5, I now need to find someone to connect up the heated rear window but seem to be drawing a blank on people willing to do it. Does anyone know of any specialists in Kent I could try ?

BTTT

If only because when I contacted my local Mazda dealer they said they could do what I wanted but in exchange wanted to relieve me of £180 of labour and £90 of parts - you'd have thought they were re-wiring the whole car how difficult can it be ! Please can someone help ?

Not really up on MX5's,however,one would have thought it ought be fairly straight forward.
This probably isn't much help.
Does the MK1 have heated rear window too? & does wiring (already running the length of the car)exist for it?
Is all the kit fitted when you put the roof in?

If yes,it would seem that all that was necessary was to connect old,mk1 heater wiring to the new mk2,heater connection.Possibly they have different connectors but shouldn't cause too much of a problem.
