Shit yeah..I remember that.. I also remember being banned as I did a 'wee' donut! parked my car over by the tent, and stayed! Didn't you win a prize for your car or something??? The white one IIRC??

A good friend of mine has a 1993 MR2 with a BEAMS engine transplant.

The car drives beautifully - I've owned a number of MR2s (NAs and Turbos) over the years, and none of them match up to the driving pleasure of the BEAMS. Lovely engine note coupled with that mid-engined feel makes for a great sportscar package.

Okay, so you don't get that punch in the back from a Turbo MR2, but the way the BEAMS car feels when accelerating is a lot nicer in the long run!

The last rolling road result came out at 197 BHP...not bad considering the only mods are a custom exhaust and an air filter.

I'd seriously consider a BEAMS MR2 if I wasn't so desperately in love with my Impreza... smile
