Admiral and Elephant are resonably good with imports and mods, the best I could find anyway, and alot cheaper than so called 'specialist insurers' I found.

A Plan were by far and away the best for my Skyline GTR, Am paying £600 fully comp with protected no claims. Car is full stage 1 with filters, exhaust, Apexi ECU, car mapped to 400BHP, also non std wheels. Oh and they dont specify you need a tracker, but a Cat 1 is a must. I'm 31 years old with full no claims and 3 points.

Give em a try, they can cover any mods you care to throw at them !! Give Thatcham branch a call.....

Admiral were great when I was insuring the MR2 at 20.

Then I tried to insure it again after it blew up and they told me I now have to be 25, due to a chance in their company policy towards imports.

So I signed ownership over to my old cheese and I'm a named driver.

Oh well. At least I can still rack up the NCB on my Ibiza.

Just to add Warwick Davis, just got a very very good quote for my car that was £200 cheaper than even Sky. I phoned and double checked all the details, making sure it was definately my type of car (MKIV Supra, and not confused with a MKIII), and added my 3 points. Very pleased.

Anyone know what Norwich union are like for mods? The price was good, but they don't say anything on the website either way about mods.
