New grill is a decent improvement anyway, cleans the nose up a lot.

Still not the most inspiring design but IMO nowhere near as bad as some of you lot seem to be making out.

I just don't get it, there must be two separate design offices or two separate companies at Soob, one that designs the Liberty/Legacy where they employ people who attended design school and another that designs (for want of a better word) the Impreza, Forrester and Tribeca. How the hell can a company come up with such a quality looking car like the Liberty and then squeeze out something like this? To me it looks like an old Daewoo (which Holden is still trying to polish btw).

I thought they did a pretty fine job of facelifting the hideous bug eye impreza. The redesign was my favourite since the classic. So a major overhaul can be done, and quickly.

In about 18 months Subaru will have responded and we'll all be talking about how it's the new Integrale (dream, dream....)

Just don't understand why Scooby have to get it so wrong in the first place.

Was that cgi nose designed by max power? Think I prefer the production one to that abomination of an idea. The whole wheel-arches turning into triangular nose-bits doesn't appeal to me at all.

Personally I would have preferred it to look a bit more like this:

(though keeping the scoop would still be nice too) hehe

If it had looked like that, i would have pimped out the missis and put down a deposit. (so i wouldn't have to sell any of my current fleet - of course)

All people see is pics of the new Impreza hatchback, which does look rubbish, but the saloon however doesnt look too bad, and is no more ugly than the current model.

If the WRX hatch looks like this, im sure it will sell.

Replacing a car that was popular with some, with a car that is popular with none, what can i say, as far as sucide notes go, it's not even an interesting one!

Some people here are not being very nice about the Hawkeye Scoob, i think it looks great, best yet in fact!! And thats not just because i have one, it was the bug i fell in love with so its not all about the looks for me. Personality is also important!!

Dont think i would want to wake up next to the new one though, no matter how funny she is!! Maybe a bit of Sti makeup will improve the look, and maybe a good ridelaugh

Subaru have always had styling problems. Obviously the in house team work in a dark room by candlelight and I'd still say the were half pcensoreded doing this. There just is no excuse.

If you cant style a car then find someone who can, remember the last time a design house styled a rally car, we got the stratos, would anyone complain if we got something similarly beautiful from subaru now?? And yes I do understand it needs to be a 'family' car but still...c'mon

The new hatchback scoobs may look like smokin turds but underneath it all they are still pure genius engineering. It's just a shame they had to wrap up all that genius engineering in a dirty old blanket!!! nono

No good folks. One for the Barbi or the crocs or the sharks or the wizard to make it go away back to the factory designer type folk - don't look like a Scoob and it's a shame it had to have the name on the badge. It doesn't look "tough" enough to be a Scoob for starters and it's an Astra/Saab/BMW hybrid. The bug-eyed were ok to get along side but this one, it's a non-starter.

The Sti one in the pic doesnt look to bad but the WRX is just been wiped out..

I have a blobeye WRX and its not bad to be honest, just enough character there to be noticed, but its not screaming out like the Blobeye STi Looks at me i have gold wheels! The new WRX seems like a Eurobox just there to blend in!
