Most of our owners drive classic shape Impreza's ranging from P1's to Type R's to 22B's and they hate anything that is not classic, I on the other hand drive a 53 plate Bugeye which I love and is great car, this is considered to be a UFO to classic fans!

I dont agree, I've owned a 97 UK turbo, an 02 WRX blobeye, an 03 STi Bugeye, I now own a P1 and they are all great cars.
This new one is bound to be a hit, it looks the nutz and no doubt will go like a rocket it might just attract a different group of buyers. Lets hope Solberg/Atkinson can fare a little better with this shape.
Well you must be exeption to the rule and most common Classic shape owners that I speak to WHO STILL HAVE CLASSICS dissapprove of any other version.
On the other hand myself who owned first a 53 Bugeye WRX and a classic later as a runaround have seen the best in all versions

To bend the rules a little further - I only like the classic and the 'hawk-eye' version. smile

Interesting - My order of preference for Impreza looks:

(1) Classic (IMO the best looking of all is the v2 STi-RA v-ltd, before they started sticking too much to it)

(2) Newage/blobeye

=(3) Bugeye

=(3) Hawkeye

Though to be fair I'd generally prefer to STi of any version to a WRX or NA of the others, even the STi was a non-preferred shape silly

Don't be so hard on the car, it's still better looking than the Austrailian effort!

BUT I STILL OWN A CLASSIC SHAPE, as do some of my cronies.....none of us dissapprove of the later versions.

Although I agree that people have different tastes there is no getting away from the fact that each performs as well as the last as no doubt this new one will do equally as well.

I'm surprised that you think a 53 Bugeye WRX is the best of its version...53 Bugeye STi with PPP would better that IMO.

The bug eye prodrive model is the 2nd best model made ever, the 1st is the 22b, subarus best ever car.

I'm actually very fond of the current one... 22B is the best though, no question.
