Oakey, I keep meaning to debadge my Z, you're welcome to my 3 when I do.
Thanks, that'd be great. Although I'm now tempted to debadge my own as I'm forever going to be worried some pikey scrote will try and remove the badge again hehe

good decision..

I'm currently trying to decide whether I can stretch to a 350Z, rather than the cheaper next-car option of a 2002 S2000....

....really want one!

It's a good car. (If you can live with the Renault DNA in the engine...) I'd consider one if I was looking and I could afford it.

I believe the VQ to originate from Nissan so it's pure datsun, no french in it

Having owned an S2000 and now driving a 350Z, its a tough call. Very different cars.
Given the weather we have had this summer, I would have been frustrated owning the S2000 as the top would never have been down and I would be fed up with the lack of space and refinement. On a sunny day though...
The 350Z is a lot more refined, handles as well once you get used to the extra 200Kg (although its not as reactive on a challenging 'B' road) and is quicker. The figures imply performance is about equal, but thats only if you are in the S2000 sweet spot all of the time - difficult on a road you do not know. The 350Z accelerates hard from 2500 rpm, so a missed change or being in a higher gear makes less difference.

Its a tough choice, one that I would struggle to make. As a year round car, the 350Z wins (especially here in wet and windy Scotland). On a summers day, the S2000 wins for obvious reasons. It will be fun deciding. but make sure you get a decent drive in both...enjoy...
