I am soon to order some 225/45/17 'Y' rated T1R's for my WRX sportwagon from CAMSKILL.

4 of the above tyres delivered, inc VAT and delivery for £300!!! Now that's a real deal hehe
It's only going to cost me £35 to get them fitted, valved and balanced at a local tyre garage!!

So £335 all in...beat that!!! bounce

Ok, i will.

www.blackcircles.com - 80.99 each delivered and inc vat.

£324 minus the 10% discount for mentionign PH = £291.60 + £35 fitting =

£326.60

I thank you, I'm here all week!

I always just ring them and quote on the phone.....however, its been a while since I've used them....and boxedin it looks like PH is now affiliated with mytyres.co.uk so we probs dont get a BC discount anymore....

Worth asking though

I have just been onto Blackcircles, did the quote, it came up with the £324 + £10 for delivery, then i typed in Pistoneheads in the promotional code box and it only gave a 5% discount and it came to just over £317.

Not good enough.

MyTyres comes up with £318 for 4 but i cannot see where to input any discount codes so it may well be i have to ring up. So...so far CAMSKILL as still cheaper at £300 all in and that's before any further negotiated discount when i call them up smile

So...you bought 4 of them for £315 from MyTyres and that's inc VAT and del without any further discounts. I take it that isn't inc fitting either?

In which case CAMSKILL are still cheaper at £300 inc VAT and del.

The 888's are probably one of the best road legal track tyres you can buy, and i hear they are pretty good in the wet too, but that's on a track.

As for the road i imagine in the dry they are probably pretty damn goodand better than T1R's but not sure what they would be like on a greasy wet road until they are properly warmed up. Bearing in mind they are pretty much a dedicated track tyre.

T1R's are pretty awesome for the road in the wet or dry, and i am now onto my second full set and i love em!!! I wouldn't use anything else until someone comes up with something much better and for the same money too they are pretty damn hard to beat.

Different league really, but that's only because the 888s are amazing! My bro fitted a set for our trip to the Ring in July, so did over 1400 miles of road and track driving in dry, damp, greasy and wet. They obviously performed really well in the dry, on track and road, but were also more than capable in the wet, no need for tip toeing around.

The T1-Rs are my normal tyre of choice though, good price, and best all round performance in all conditions.

Sorry Goodyears arent even close to the Toyo's as far as grip goes , they are a much harder longer lasting tyre though and probably a touch better in the wet

IMHO i think the Toyo's are not quite as sharp turning in as i would like but then they would be pretty noisy if they were harder sidewalled. I like them because they do grip extremely well in the Dry and in the wet they are absolutely fabulous when warmed up plus they look pretty good too.

My cure for slighty sharper turn in is to pump them up a little bit harder to 36-37PSI fronts and 33-34psi rears. they run really well at those pressures and still very comfy ride on the road. On a track day though i would get tem up to 39-40psi on the front and 35-36psi on the rears no probs.
