I hate to say this but it's got to be an MX5 hasn't it?

Liking the Chaser, I can see one these being my next purchase. I have a JZS160 already and love it, if a JZX is anything like that but with a manual, LSD and lots of power I'd be well up for it.

Anyway, here's my Datsun, doing what they do best.
Curborough?

I had a gen 7 celica before my mx5, if i had to choose on the spot right now I'd say mx5
The celica was great but i felt it had to be driven near the limit to be fun where as the mx5 is fun at almost any speed plus you get to put the roof down and every other road user loves an mx5

Yeah it's a picture of the car backwards after it went 180.

Who are you anyway? Presumably your skills are impeccable and can easily master the backwards entry in a car with stock lock, first try?

Love that colour! Do you have a build thread anywhere? Where did you get the jap plates made by the way? I have a picture of the original ones on my Chaser and would love to get them made up.

Hi Chap,

I was there in the WRX Wagon on the same day. I added the wink after as my comment was supposed to be in good humour.

I know the chap who was taking those photos and recognised that particular moment, please don't take it as a dig! I probably should've mentioned that the rest of the day looked super smooth whenever I was spectating.

As for my skills, if I make a backwards entry it's probably because it's all gone horribly wrong already smile

Build thread can be seen here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The plates I made myself from a thin sheet of alloy, painted gloss white and got a local sign writer to cut the green vinyl.

Luckily I had some photos of it in Japan which I replicated. It was also great fun learning what the reg meant and how much info it tells you smile
