Full carbon body Time Attack Supra

In a left front corner accident (likely on track) your'd be looking at a potential major fire with front disks at 800degC & ruptured hoses
I'd move them hoses inboard!!!
Have to agree on that! Hoses look much to exposed, braided or not. Also, I hope there will be some sort of heat shield for the turbine housing as the repeated heating and cooling of the suspension tower could weaken the metal or make it more brittle. It's just soo close to the steel...I'd move them hoses inboard!!!
Anymore updates? I am looking forward to seeing this finished! I would love to do something like this to my Porsche 996; full carbon panels etc etc.
I will be interested to hear how much weight he sheds in the end and whether he reveals a final cost! Even if the weight savings aren't drastic and the cost huge, what a project!

I have to be honest - the bare carbon look there just doesn't do it for me.
I know, I know, I'm about to get slated. But the car's compound curves, plus the extra ones that seem to have been put into the kit, just don't (IMHO) 'gel' quite as well with bare CF as a more angular car might...

I think it would look a lot better with a gloss clearcoat on it - a mile deep shine over the carbon would look 100 times better than the matt, which just makes the car look unfinished!I know, I know, I'm about to get slated. We really are not worthy .... When's its first outing planned?

Excuse my ignorance - can someone explain what Time Attack is exactly?
Time trials I think. Like rallying, but on racetracks and road circuits. To all the people crowing about minimal weight saving for maximum cost re. the carbon fibre - it's more likely to be shifting the weight bias around, lowering the CoG.
