I know this isnt what you're looking for, but a friend runs a VVTL-i model as his 'run-about'. He reckons it's one of the most boring cars he've ever driven, and really needs to be revved to get going.
He does say that it's very stealthy and has never suffered from bad attitude on the road.

..I know that's a stereotypical view but consider his main car is a Corsa B it might give an indication of what they're like.

They're cheap though arent they? Admittedly I dont know how much the SC ones go for..

Yep, I had a compressor from almost new (60 miles)

Brilliant build quality

Wooly handling

27MPG at 70MPH on the motorway!!!!

It really depends what you a really looking for. I went from an 2002 Civic Type R to this, and was happy for a while, saying that, my boy racer days are long gone. (I have the bikes for that smile)

Don't discount it, give it a try, we all have different expectations.

no

run like crap unless on vpower
expensive dampers that will leak
no diff
not very fast.
no real tuning available

expensive and ill thought out.

Just buy the celica instead(or the corolla(i own one) if you're prepared to spend a bit on new suspension).

Hi,

These cars get so much stick on here! But after having for as my daily for 18 months and about 25k, I've got nothing but good words to say about them!

Dont bother with the Compressor model, they are about double the price, have hardly anymore power, drink fuel, and have LOADS of problems.

I had the standard TSport Facelift model and loved it.

Better handling, better looking and nicer inside then the pre facelift.

190bhp 2GG-ZE Engine was very economical when on a run, i got 39Mpg at 70, and was awesome when going for it.

quicker then Golf GTi Mk5 and same as EP3 Civic Type R.

mine was only 125k when I sold it after doing a few track days and daily being ragged on the country roads to work. I then sold it to my best friend, who continued to rag it daily on the country roads to his work, and he has just sold it, engine and box still in great condition at 145k.

Go and test drive a facelift T Sport smile its just a cheaper, more comfortable, stealthy, cheaper to insure Civic Type R smile
