BMW Z4 - Talk to me

If you could increase your budget slightly, my Coupe is up for sale. Granted it's got relatively high mileage, but it's only a 2 owner car and the engines are bulletproof. FSH helps of course and it looks and drives superb.

I'll not link to it, as I don't want to break any PH rules.

You guys in the UK are so lucky to be able to buy these cars under 10,000 pounds. I have a Mazda RX8 which is giving me so much trouble i am thinking about a 2004 BMW Z4, but I am looking at the best part of $40,000 Australian. ....and that is a convertable. Maybe I should move back home, as I am a Pom and buy one over there.

Mileage aside it ticks a lot of your boxes OP! I wouldn't imagine there will be that many out there which tick so many and hit the budget?

How many Z4 Coupe 3.0si Sports are there in the country even?!

Yeah, dealers usually have around £1K in the sale, but I totally agree, overpriced zed's are killing me!

Go look at some cars and make some offers mate - some people will need to sell. Even if you walk away that day some people might ring up a few weeks later when they realise how tough the market is. Example - my colleague looked at a 335d Coupe which was up for £17.5k - offered £15k. Guy says no, two weeks later he's driving around in a 335d for £15k...some people WILL need the sale..

I'd rather pay $40k and get to drive it in Australia than sub £10k and have to drive it in the UK

And it'll cost you £500-1,000 from a breakers/ebay to source a set, if you can find any, depending on condition. Though if you had one with elec/heated/memory to sell on you may recoup a chunk back. The basic ones aren't worth a great deal, though.

I just removed a foam from my sound generator, it now sounds awesome. That is all.

The only thing id change about mine is the seats. I'd love those sports seats. Don't want them enough to pay £1k like.

3.0i badges in wrong place too (Could be a sign of a repair at some stage although doubt very much it has had a respray on both sides, that said)

Just had a look at similar spec A3's as mine in the classifieds and again its a minefield. Prices ranging anywhere from £5500-£6750.
