The tyres are fully inflated so hopefully it's operational. Maybe it's just been sat for a while with the owner away somewhere and a heavy rainfall has caused the muddy deposits on the paintwork. The ground nearby looks like something that could be kicked up by a torrential downpour and leave a car looking thoroughly filthy.

That's a shame. Such lovely things, those 8s. Wonder why it's been left for so long? Worth noting that you can tax such a wonderful car for £220 whereas bland, characterless rubbish of the modern era can cost double that even with a much smaller engine.

Ahem!.....The small circular map in the corner does make it rather easy to track down!- took all of thrity seconds!whistle

It could have belonged to a loved one who has passed away, it could simply be that the owner is so rich that they've forgotten they own the house and car or it could be being used as a dog kennel!

Like most of these abandoned cars, it's always hard to fathom why the owners simply don't just sell the obviously unwanted car!

You've answered your own question. I've heard of cases of people being so rich that they couldn't be bothered setting aside the time needed to deal with the wretched pleb that wanted to buy their abandoned car. If that's the case then it'll probably sit there until it's a pile of rust. If anyone really wants it they should leave a note on the windscreen and see what happens.

Go knock on the door or press the gate intercom say you have seen it looking unloved when you walk past for many months. Ask if they would like to sell.

There is a once lovely looking late E39 530i Sport sat parked on the road near me in London looking like that - flat tyres, leaf gunk and bird st all over it. Taxed and displaying a valid resident permit though, or it would have been towed months ago. Who does that?!?!

Probably belongs to a Premiership footballer, who got totally wasted and forgot where he left it.
