That was quite some deal you got previously for a 640d! How big was your deposit last time?

Right, went into my local dealer today and was quoted the following:

640d M sport convertible - 556 + VAT on 6 + 35 based on 10k pa contract hire

Quite tempting but 200 pm more than I'm paying at the moment

Anyone being offered a better deal please let me know.
thats crap. Wait something better will come up.

I suppose the potential problem comes when your current deal runs out and you can't find a suitable replacement in time to avoid being without a car. Do you go for short term rental, steal your other half's and make her get the bus, buy a bargain barge to get you by, or cave in and sign up for something that's either not ideal or is more than you are happy to pay.

As per my other post, that's more than I'm about to pay for my M5 on 6/36 12k per annum.

Seems steel regardless of the deals on the M5

Oh, and 9 points.....get the M5 and take it easy wink

Guys ... come-on ... or are you girls??

Awesome car though it is, I want more of a comfortable sports car than a performance car, so want the 6 rather than M5.

As for taking it easy, in an M5, really????

Did you see Quentin Wilson talking about lease deals on German cars.He said with the German economy picking up cheapo deals are soon going to be a thing of the past so get in now.

We shall see I guess.

Do you have an option to extend your current deal or are you wanting to make a change anyway? Only reason I ask is that sometimes with company car leases you can extend on a month by month basis at the end of the agreement and often that's at a reduced monthly payment (although that might not apply in your case given it was a such good deal to start with!).

I keep an eye on contract hire and leasing. The only thing I have seen that would appeal is a Mercedes CLS.

I was one of those that took out the 730d deal on £399 for a 6 +23. Nothing comparable around.

I am in no hurry as my deal doesn't run out until next year.

I had to Google it to see what a GL was.

Good Lord it's a real barge of a vehicle!
