What do BMW performance pack push the 335d up to? Power wise?

Don't think there is one.

I'm not sure thats true. Most of the used cars have the M Sport plus package with the blue brakes. Why would they do this if it already comes with updated brakes?

I have a TDi tuning box on my 330d which gives an extra 40 bhp and an extra 120lb-ft of torque. Apart from being a bit of a faff to connect the turbo boost sensor it's been a fantastic improvement. For £300 it's given the car 335d performance.
You sure about that torque figure? That means you've got 533ft/lb or 720nm seems a tad optimistic, dyno figures?

That's what they are quoting. I haven't measure it myself but it feels impressive to drive.

Weird just doesn't seem right, I'd watch your gearbox if it is punting through that much torque, the ZF8 comes in varying capacities.

Birds do a 302hp map for the f30 330d and a 362hp one for the 335d.

I think Kelleners do a tuning box for the 330d which takes it to over 300BHP. This is a plug in box, not an ecu remap though. (I had a dastek unichip on my E46 330D and it worked very well: this was a post-ECU 'remap')

Not sure, they have some figures on the website, 0-200kph IIRC I would imagine that takes 335d close to 4 to 60 due to traction etc..

Does it invalidate the BMW warranty?

Not sure they have a good rep but I doubt they are factory approved.

Has anyone mapped the F30 335d?
Its epically fast out of the box so a £2-3k birds remap to 365bhp a useful 50bhp more or 11,5% Its possible your getting to diminishing returns.

I'd look at the Alpina allrad D3 for the performance figures you could expect from a Birds tuned 335d xdrive.

The D3 allrad touring does 0-62 in 4.5 secs.

That is so similar to the standard model to make no physical difference - what is the 0-100mph difference?

No idea, but it's nearly half a second quicker to 62, 4.9 vs 4.5 so about a 1 second to 100mph difference I would imagine.

If that's the case the Alpina is a 10 second car to 100mph ... That's hugely fast

That's faster than a Tip 996tt, much loved in here...

Hey Folks,
I had the "M Performance Pack" installed by my local dealer a month or so ago. My Touring already had the bigger brakes as part of the option kit so it was just a case of the i/c and the new ECU.
It's definitely quicker than the E91 335d I had and well worth the upgrade given that it doesn't affect the warranty. Alpina aside, this is the best diesel 3-series RWD action you'll get. Very happy with it. I'll get it dyno'd and post the figures sometime,
