Does anyone happen to know the service intervals for a 3.0 N52 and when all the big jobs arrive.
Looking at one with over 50k on the clock and just factoring what's due within the next 20k.
I had to replace the electric water pump at 76k (£600 at the dealers).Looking at one with over 50k on the clock and just factoring what's due within the next 20k.
Front driver spring went at 84k.
Rear shocks replaced with Bilstein B8's at 90k (ace upgrade over standard).
Rear driver wheel bearing just done at 92k.
Dougie (BMW 130i).

The car will tell you what is required and when (some items are mileage dependant, others time). I seem to get long mileage intervals probably because the car does lots of gentle M'way miles.Looking at one with over 50k on the clock and just factoring what's due within the next 20k.
Got mine 3 years ago at 53k, it'll go past 100k this weekend. It has been serviced according to BMW's schedule at main dealers (I'm still in warranty), the first service I paid for was a big one so I'd budget for this around 50k miles.
Since I bought it -
55k - engine oil/filter, micro filter, spark plugs, air cleaner and brake fluid
63k - vehicle check (nothing more than an inspection on the ramps)
78k - engine oil/filter, micro filter
84k - brake fluid
93k - vehicle check
98k - engine oil/filter, micro filter
Spark plugs are due again at next oil change (approx. 115k miles)
Discs and pads were done just before I bought it, they will easily do another 20k in my hands.
Two warranty claims - DSC hydro unit failure at approx. 80k miles and a dodgy immobiliser earth. Other than that it has been faultless. Original shocks/springs/clutch etc.

There's no big jobs. Just the plugs every 3 oil changes at £150 fitted (BMW dealer price). Oil service (inc oil filter, micro filter and scan/reset) is now £179 at BMW dealers for cars over 4 years (BMW Value servicing) and is every 24 month/18k variable, whichever comes first. The air filter is £20 and 5 minutes DIY, again every 3 oil change. Brake fluid every 2 years that can be negociated down to £60 when booked with a service. Use an indy for brakes.Looking at one with over 50k on the clock and just factoring what's due within the next 20k.

Happy they are trying to sell it, just would be nice if information was accurate. Oh well, will ignore that.

Prob going to local garage this weekend to try a N54 57 335i, but it's not the spec I'm after so won't be buying, but need to know what they drive like. All the 335i/135i seem to be up north these days.
Oh the irony. BMW spec on a website being wrong is worthy of a mention, on the other hand you're happy to waste a local dealers time test driving a car you've no intention of buying ?Back on topic, I had a little time in a 335i recently - loved it compared to my 335d.

Great, thanks for all your responses, lets see how I get on today. The sales guy should be coming back to me with some figures.Vee said:

34k! You need to get out more,
Yes me too. I'm only on 27K for a Jan 2008 car. Mine has had just regular items so far, Ie oil, plug etc. But I do drive like Miss Daisy. Great car though.Very nice, it was on Pistonheads and they've snapped it up. Seems quite dear, but it's super rare.
