130i M LE to replace 123d M
Discussion
Also not a fan of the chrome window trim, but i do like the colours of the LE.
I've had my LCI 130i M-Sport for a just over a year, keep toying with the idea of swapping into something else, but its a great car with a lot of kit for the money. Makes for a much more entertaining drive than previous 330ci's and 530i's

I'm not a fan of the LE either, the chrome just doesn't look right, nor do I like the wheels. Think the normal M sport looks far better. Japan red LCI for me please.
I also think the 5 doors with aero spoiler look better than 3 doors.
Had my 55 plate since December, low 20's around town and had 34mpg from a 150 mile run (fluctuating 70 to 80 so probably could have got more if religiously stuck to 65/70)

130is without too many miles are getting a little difficult to source now obviously but values are holding up quite well. It seems they have found renewed interest of late, not sure why so many had ignored them. I struggled to find a decent 3-dr one so ended up with a 125i which I mapped back to 130i power for £400. There was a very high spec one recently on AT on 35k miles. I think it must have sold for £11.5k or maybe even less.
I had an LE a few years ago. It was a 2008 model. I think it had heated seats as well. I would say calling the interior lemon is way overstated. It's a cream colour really. The seat bolsters are prone to wear. I used cream shoe polish to keep the drivers side looking decent. The only aspect of the car I disliked were the wheel. They are so easy to kerb as the outermost part of the rim protrudes beyond the tyre so there is no protection at all. I very rarely kerb wheels. I did 3 out of 4 on the LE! MPG ranged from 26 to 37 averaging over 30. Never had an issue with space. Occasionally had back seat passengers. Boot is OK.

Was that a private or trade sale? Chaz645 said:

If you fancy swapping it for a Cayenne Turbo let me know. Serious suggestion. I'm in Kent too, so probably not too far from you.

All 150 odd LE's were all made in the same month, I think it was January 2007 from memory, but may have been Feb.Most were registered during 2007 on 07 or 57 plates, although, I know there were a handful that remained unsold at dealers here and there into early 2008.
They were all fixed spec with no options available, and heated seats were not in the spec.

Andy, private but with 6 months left of BMW AUC warranty. I think it sold within a week or so.
Thanks Nick. Strong money even with the warranty. Edited by nickfrog on Tuesday 25th February 22:00

Diesels are no good if your a car enthusiast/petrolhead...........or pistonhead
Ref to warranty I believe if the car had a full bmw service history you can get a yearly or rolling warranty from bmw, my car is around 52k miles and was quoted about £43 a month for the top warranty, over 60k miles and I believe it almost doubles in price,
You looking for 5 or 3dr? What spec you after ?

Yes Birds have been very helpful and particularly as I'm quite picky re spec! I'm after Cruise too.
As I've already said, Cruise is a £200 quid or so easy retro-fit, so don't get hung up by lack of cruise control on any car...I had cruise fitted to my 120d. I think the slip ring behind the steering wheel was the really expensive bit so the cost was somewhere between £400-£500.

Thanks, but unfortunately doesn't suit my current requirements! I'm in Kent too, so probably not too far from you.
Without going too far off topic, what do we think this would be worth? 2007/57 130i m-sport in silver, 5dr, manual, black heated leather, elec lumbar, b/tooth, cruise, bi-xenons, 68k with FSH.....
