My 2010 E90 has the old xenon lights with yellow corona rings. I have seen a number of newish e92s with white corona ringed xenons (not LEDs).

Question is can I change my yellow lights to the white version?

Thanks

Short answer is yes although I've never done it. There's a few threads on BMWLand with owners who have done it although it's a bit fiddly by all accounts.

You can't change them for the newer BMW ones, but you can change the bulbs with aftermarket ones to get a whiter light, but they won't be as bright as the OEM BMW ones. In fact they will be less bright than the 'yellow' ones you have now.
It's all down to the design of the older vs. newer lights.

You also have to go in through the lining in the wheel arch - had considered doing mine but too much of a faff.

Yes, you can just upgrade the angel eye bulbs to LED's I've done this in my E39 M5, as the original yellowy bulbs didn't match the xenons, looks much better now
