Hi,

Something has broken off my 2004 E46. It's a large bit of plastic under the front wheel arch, behind the lower front bumper. I'll take pics of the big broken parts in the morning, too dark now.

It looks like this I think

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E46-3-Series-Wheel-A...

There is now a bit hanging off connected by a wire and I don't know what to do and if I can somehow remove it safely
and drive the car

Any help would be welcome.

Looks like the exterior temp sensor, unplug, no worries.

Thanks mate, do you know what the broken part is, what's the sensor usually connected to?

The pic is just part of it, I think it could be the front wheel arch liner, but not sure.

It's part #8 in this picture,

BMW part no is either, 51 71 8 193 811 or 51 71 8 265 467 if your car has aero package/M tech bumpers.

Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated.

Hopefully won't cost too much to fix.
