About to replace the lower front wishbone rear bushes but need to get a decent 3 leg puller. anyone any recommendations?

You do not need a puller to remove these if you are installing polybushes. They may simply be cut out, metal sleeve too.

The rears however do require a puller if you are doing them attached to the car (no removal of RTA).

i prefer not to cut them too time consuming and messy and not really very pro... come on give me another excuse to buy a tool! im replacing with genuine bmw parts nothing fancy

Tool is about 30 quid on Ebay.

I would recommend polybushing though, they are not that much more than stock items and will last the lifetime. Especially since E46's tend to use these every 20k or so.

Get the rubber burnt and crispy with a blowtorch and they will slide straight off. Use the poly bushes, the OEM ones are bad and the aftermarket ones are dire.

Powerflex are the most common option although both Polybush and Super-Pro also do replacements. All now have a lifetime warranty I believe.
