Another positive review for Bryston - Southampton

Car went in yesterday (was booked in for Friday, but working hours meant I needed to drop it in yesterday) with a creaking front suspension from the drivers side.
Fearing the worst I thought it was a cracked spring and told them if it is, do both sides and depending on the condition of the shocks then maybe do those as well; there was also some steering wheel juddering under heavy high speed (cough) braking which was almost certainly the suspension arms.....a common fault.
Now, all of this could have been VERY expensive. Got a phone call today (yes, a day before it was due to get looked at) saying the creaking was cured by greasing up either a ball joint or bush or something or the other and sorting an issue with the suspension ride-height sensor (for the self-levelling lights. They've said there is a 14mm difference in ride height and BMW allow a 10mm difference as "standard".
They've said the spring pad looks like it's been changed and not fitted 100% properly which MAY be causing the issue but said it might not be and if I want it sorted where the springs need to come out I'd be best of doing those. They said the shocks are fine. They then said in all honesty don't worry about the springs just yet and said there was a very small amount of corrosion on them but perfectly safe to drive.
The juddering is caused by a brake disc issue...which were changed by another garage 6k miles ago so may be going back there.
Total cost (after expecting WELL north of £500.....probably nearer £700+)........£80.
They could have (and some garages may have) done the springs anyway and said that was the issue, charged me a lot more and got more work out of it but they didn't. AGAIN. Similar situation in the past they didn't over-charge or do unnecessary work.
Richard and Lee down there are top blokes, both them and the receptionist (Martine, I believe) are all friendly and the service is so good I really can't complain. Too many posts on here with people saying they're unhappy with one companies work and so on and I thought I'd just say (once again!) just how bloody happy I am with these guys. They're top notch and don't think I'll be using anyone else again.
