True for so many other makes too - people are waiting for the car to become available 2nd hand is a specific spec well some are in for a very long wait or be in a bidding war for a used example when one comes up.

Plenty from Audi and Merc though. Jaguar are entering the market too.

Not particularly wanting to find the first 3 years of depreciation, I'm looking at a used example.

90+% are diesels.

Fixed on New 535 now with the M Performance Kit Azurite Black with Black Nappa. Really don't like the wheels that BMW offer though on this car.
Has anyone seen these http://morrwheels.com/wheels/details/mono-forged/v... really nice. Maybe will put on my Maserati.

Yeah depressing huh. At least there are AMG's and RS models about, but they're a bit highly strung for my tastes.

Glad I've bought a rare commodity really, can't wait for the appreciation to kick in wink

What a good idea, I bet he hadn't thought of buying a brand new one.

You mean it's possible to have them build you one with the engine you want and stuff? Can you even pick the colour?

wink

Apparently so, Welshbeef has helped us see the light. It's a wonder any of us still buy second hand ones, I can't think why that might be?!

Williams BMW had/have a mega spec 550i Touring. 3.5 years old, ex-press car, literally every option ticked including individual paint job....and only 8,000 on the clock.

I had a drive - it's a beast.

Being an ex-press car is it legally an import (first reg'd in Germany)

I wish, if it was at £40k I might make a few enquiries, but in all honestly after 12 months without metal on the drive depreciating at a grand a month I am going to find it very hard to go back to spending that sort of money again.

Not sure, the fact it is 18 months old makes me think it is a trade in and it probably owes them around £43k.

I bet you could bag it for that.

You think it owes them 43k? Sounds high to me, surely they'd have a bigger margin across such a risky car. I'd say there us a very small but potentially strong market for these, but they'd price in a long delay in selling when taking it in.

I'd say what it owes them starts with a 3.

BMW 535i is just amazing, my Godfather has been totally in love with it, and still is smile
I mean not only that is looks great, I mean just look at it , it is also so safe, it has everything from full complement of air bags, anti-lock disc brakes, traction and stability control, and the BMW Assist emergency communications system. I am not an expert, but I know 535i is gorgeous, so how have you guys decided about it in comparison with 535d?
