Been looking into one of these as a long term ownership option - would be buying brand new (there are hardly any used available in the colour or spec we want).

£42k list price and looking at £6k ish options.
BMW will contribute £4.4k and offer 4.9% apr given a 15% customer contribution.
Ignoring options this means is have to pay just over £6k deposit and then £395pcm for £47 months with a GFV of 12k (which I cannot see as a true reflection of a car with c60k miles tops and 4 years old so equity in it for sure).

Broadspeed are quoting a £9k discount and that they will ensure dealers will match the APR % PCP etc I'd want to give the deal to my local dealership as they have been superb with my previous car and I'd be using them to service it ongoing.

Options
Either Blue or Grey - had blue on the 330d E90
Panoramic roof (question does it have a blind the whole way or is it just tinted)
M performance pack
Pro Nav
Privacy glass rear
Internet connection
Extended storage
Heated front seats
Lumbar support
Adaptive suspension

Thinking about
HUD
Chrome roof rails
Electric wing mirrors
Climate screen (is this as good as quick clear Ford/Jag?)
High beam assist

Firstly is the price good? Second realistically in 4 years time with that spec and not even 60k what would it be worth?
Am I missing any must have option and have I added unneeded options?

Lastly will I have my trousers pulled down on part x RS6 c5?

Interesting topic as I'm looking at exactly the same car and more or less the same spec too (love the pano sunroof!)-just trying to decide where to source it from as well.
I really don't mind second hand, but finding "the one" is proving difficult and prices are still strong,so new may be the way forward. I'll be interested in any replies that you get.
Oh and yes,I reckon that you'll be spanked on part ex!

I am due my F31 Touring in June, consider the M Sport Plus pack? A rare bargain.

I understand the panoramic roof has an electric blind with it.

Yep the am Sport + is now added.

Do the Panoramic roofs have any issues be it previous generations? Thinking potential costs down the line for pricy repairs

Pano roof takes a lot of headroom.

High beam assist is awesome, well with the money. It is so clever when it starts steering main beam and drawing dark boxes around cars.

Lumbar IMHO is not worth it.

The only thing missing from you list is the VSS. Which is worth it.

I'm 6'2" so would probably fit but I'll skip the roof.

What's VSS?

I'm 6'2" so would probably fit but I'll skip the roof. I get a bad back now and again and find the current lumbar support I have makes a useful difference.

What's VSS?

No, as it's not heated AFAIK. Only heat reflective.

Yes, probably.

This, sorry OP, you have absolutely no credibility.

No sound upgrade?
That would be the first box I ticked on these, the Harman system.

Also, why the 335d?
The 335i so, so, so much sweeter, and you are not doing the miles to notice a difference.

I used to get 26-28mpg nipping around in the 335i E91 auto, and 35 on a run, nearly 40 if I sat at 70.
The 335d owners used to get around the same in town and maybe 38 on a run, 44 if sat at 70.

10% extra, but then look at pump prices.

IMHO a £40k car should sound sweet too, the 335d doesn't, and that would be enough to put me right off. Performance you get used to, aural pleasure when driving is always there, that is what keeps me in a car for longer and stops me getting bored of it. I have always kept my petrol cars for ages, the diesels I start getting itchy feet after a few months. Sounds stupid but it is true.

High beam assist is excellent IMO. I wouldn't buy another car without it. HK upgrade also a vital box to tick. I've read a lot of bad things about the std setup and the HK arrangement is pretty good.

All this is irrelevant though as you've not ticked the right engine box.... wink
I just got back from a 220 mile round trip in mine and averaged 36mpg. yikes
Through the stty 50 limits on the M6 it was doing over 45mpg.

Who needs diesels? wink

High beam assist but no Xenons?! Surely Xenons are a must have, especially as on the F31 they change the front end look considerably as without them you get crap reflector lenses.

On the F10 the Visability pack was only a small amount more than Xenon Headlights but gave you Xenons, High Beam Assist and Adaptive Headlights. Is there nothing similar on the F31?

M sport plus pack is

Xenons
H K audio
Performance brakes
Sun protection glass
19" alloys

So most bases covered with that!

Climate screen is NOt a heated screen

If you want high beam assist, upgrade to visability pack (also gives you adaptive, cost of xenons in the m sport + pack is deducted)

Pan roofs always used to give issues, who knows what the f31 one will be like

Took delivery of a 328i M Sport Tourer last week which has most of the options listed by OP. THe adaptive xenons are great (also had them on my previous 320D) and the Harman Kardon is a worthwhile upgrade. Went for the Sport plus pack. Did not have sunroof though - don't see the point of them - too noisy when open . Only done 400 miles so far but pleasantly surprised by how compliant the M Sport suspension is compared to my 320D which was also M Sport and the new car has 19 ins wheels and run flats . Colour wise I went for Smoked Topaz and really pleased with it - colours range from grey to burgundy and brown depending upon the light. Also went for HUD and already finding it really useful (and a good talking point)

Had chrome roof rails on previous car which was Le Mans blue and regarded them as a mistake as other trim is shadow line black. Black roof rails preferable I think. But just a matter of taste

Each to their own but I think the panoramic roof makes a big difference to how light and airy the cabin feels; in M-Sport trim with black leather and black headlining the interior can seem a bit coffin-like IMO!

Also a fair point! I notice that on the S4 Audi gives you a choice of colour when it comes to the headlining (black or silver) and it's a pity more manufacturers don't follow suit; I know black is often equated with sporty but not everyone wants to sit inside something that resembles a coal mine!
