Hi i am in North Cornwall. Personal recommendation rather than just word of mouth preferred. Devon, Cornwall, Somerset all considered.
Thanks

Did a shoddy rebuild on a ZF 5hp19. Did clean or rebuild the valve body so it jerked going for 3rd to 4th. Took the car back down to them, they used half a tank of fuel to tell me the car is fine. It also jerked when coming to a stop from 2-1.

Took it to driver transmissions who put on a rebuild valve body and it cured the 3-4. Stuck with the 2-1 and sold it eventually.

Anyone who is a member of this should be good www.fedauto.co.uk/memfind.htm

I would definitely recommend Stephen's engineering but they are in Hertfordshire so a bit far from you. Although I gather they have customers from all over the UK.

My problem with them is they're a bit BS-y. They will say and do anything to end up with doing a complete rebuild.

My X5 needed some new solenoids to fix the slamming but they wanted to do a full rebuild.
