BMW E53 X5 3.0D MANUAL VS AUTO

Hi looking for a family 4x4 always liked the x5 and am thinking of getting a 3.0d and trying to find a good low mileage manual facelift any one on here had/own/experience of one, they seem like a bit of a weapon 0-60 8.0 and 135 top end plus 30+mpg pretty impressive for 2 ton truck.

Any info would be great.

The manual does not suit the car and I find it feels odd to drive. The auto is smooth and suits the car, though the autobox can have problems. My advice is to drive both and see which you prefer.
I expect manuals will be cheaper and harder to resell. I have never seen an X5 3.0d showing over 30mpg, usually 25-27 on obc.
