Autocar M3 vs D3 test

I didn't realise there were two threads for this so I'll say this in here as well.
I don't buy it.
Now, Please don't look into this as a classic M car fanboy response, I can promise you its not, Instead lets look at this a little deeper and think about some facts here.
Before we do that I think its is my opinion that
A) Auto car have something against the new M3/M4
B) The way he is driving the M3 in that video seems totally hamfisted in comparison to the D3. Almost purposefully so.
C)even given the torque advantage this shouldn't be possible.
The facts and reasons I believe the result in this video is a lot of non subjective tosh are:
1)The M3 is lighter, I can't find the figures for the Alpina but it should be fairly significant, At very least 90kg less
2)The M3 has Michelin Supersports on wider tyres and lighter wheels
3)The M3 has a wider track
4)They M3 has a much lower centre of gravity due to the carbon roof + Alum bonnet
5)The shell in the M3 is stiffer and has a lot more bracing
6)I can't watch the vid here but if he's using a DCT then it should account for quite a lot of time, If not the manual trans in the M3 should give a small but not insignificant advantage with the new fanged blips that make it a little easier to use
7)Although the "on paper" figure for the m3 is 425hp it has been shown serveal times in the US that on 91 Octane it actually makes that at the wheels. I.e 460 at the flywheel.
I could go on but I can't be arsed.
Like I said, I Don't buy it.
Not the same comparison obviously but watching this video does seem to suggest it requires quite a lot of steering input.I don't buy it.

I realise Autocar tested a D3 against an M3 (to do the diesel v petrol thing) but surely anyone considering an M3/M4 would look first at a B3/B4? Good as the D3 clearly is I really can't see the point over a B3 unless you do a high mileage and value the longer range.....
The B3 is circa 6k more then the D3..I was surprised too!

I Agree, added, the m3 had been timed 0-100 mph in 8.7. I haven't seen a D3 figure but it would be luck to sneak under 12I don't buy it.

The F30 335d Xdrive is under 12 seconds/nearer 11 seconds to 100mph If the M3 is only 8.7aexondsctov100mph then isn't it slower than the v8 predecessor?
