Collected the car this afternoon, I have only had a 30 mile trip but all is well, very smooth and the diesel makes a not bad noise. Performance is usable, and not bad mpg figures.

RFT?

How are you finding the ride?

Yes sport on RFT, ride not as bad as I though. It does not like cobbles though.

It will feel a lot better on none rft - or what I like to call go flat tyres - gft.

I had a saloon 330d sport auto about 6 years ago. It had the rft 18 inch just like yours. I found the ride ok on super smooth surfaces. As soon as I hit some undulations it got unsettled. Its especially worrying in a high speed bend where it would cause the car to jump sideways.

Then winter came and some snow arrived and my car was grounded for 6 weeks. I sold it after that.

Fast forward a few years and I've discovered winter tyres. I recommend them strongly. I'll never be without them now. It's hard to explain to someone who hasn't tried them. Imagine a uk motorway with an inch of snow covering in lane 3. You're in lane 2 and doing about 50mph. You approach a car in front driving at about 40mph. You try to pass in lane 3 but you can't because your tryes lose grip and start sliding all over. You brown your under trousers and get straight back into lane 2. Then you see a crazy mo fo fly past at 70mph which throws a massive blast of snow sludge at your car. You think to yourself oh my god what a lunatic. The other cars in lane 2 beep and flash at the lunatic. That lunatic is me in my car with winter tyres travelling comfortably with bucket loads of grip.

Also I'd recommend trying gft on your car. They grip better than rft and they're cheaper and lighter.

Really nice! I'm nearly 1 week into E91 320i ownership and love it so far too. Also on rft but looking to change to normal tyres. Enquired about a BMW spare wheel kit and they only kit you can get sit's on top of the boot floor, bit of a flawed idea really.

Looks good mate. Xenons really make the front end of the E90/91

Agree with philmots, not having crappy reflector headlamps changes the front end considerably.

330D is a fantastic all rounder, enjoy smile

Totally agree, I wasn't actually going to buy one without angel eyes, it's almost like it's had a very minor facelift.
