Cracked rear MV4 alloy wheel

I bought an AUC e93 from BMW in February this year, It came with a 2 year warranty and also has a full bmw service history. I had 2 new rear tyres put on it this morning only to be told that 1 of the wheels was found to have a crack in it.

I've phoned the dealer I bought the car from who have booked it in for a run out test on the wheel, as I need a courtesy car the soonest they can do it is the 27th of August, they say they need the car all day otherwise I'd have booked it in sooner and waited for the outcome.

Will I have any joy with BMW or just end up getting told it's not within their tolerances for it to be replaced FOC???

It's clear to see that this isn't a one off either, the forums are full of cracked MV4 incidents

Depends on the results of the run out test, I know of a couple of people who have been successful.

After bmw having my car for 2 days I now have a brand new rear wheel replaced FOC by BMW, I'm very pleased with the outcome
